Smart guy says there are 11 dimensions

See theres this guy, who likes physics and is a nerd and his name his Nima Arkani-Hamed. But the thing is, hes pretty smrt at thinking about things. And he says that there are at least 11 dimensions, which is alot but i believe him.

Anyway, theres this other thing called a Large Hadron Collider thats being built in the Europe and its a particle accelerator. Hes going to go there and figure out everything, and probably get inside it and race particles around and win because hes awesome.

Heres the story what do you think about that?

Yes im pretty sure thats why they built it like a race track. Like horse races but with tiny horses

The only thing that bugs me is - why should the journey stop in the tenth dimension, just because the human brain can't imagine the 11th dimension that shouldn't mean that it doesn't exist.

I hope this guy is able to prove that strings Can move in the 11th-23rd dimensions...

Yeah, I've seen that one. Was thinking about posting it here too since a lot of people seemed a bit confused about what dimensions are.

Besides, why do we need something to be of use? The word "science" comes from the Latin word for "knowledge", not the Latin phrase for "something usable by mankind".
