whats a word for someone that does something in a state that they don't know that their doing it?

 example someone been nice upfront but saying bad word without noticing.

is it unconcious?

no, people that do stuff without knowing what they did until after they done it.

Now that I think about it, I do know some people unconsciously do things...they do things without even knowing that they are doing it. I guess I more thought about that word in reference to people who pass out, faint etc.
