If you consider Nostradamus, Global Warming, supervolcanos, asteroids, etc. do you think we'll be here for much longer? If not, when do you think our "Doomsday" will come?

We're all screwed. Don't think We're not *rambles incoherently*
It's the aliens you know. I got abducted last night. They told me all about the invasion. Then sent me home with some ice cream. ALIEN ice cream! You believe me right...
Doomsday theories have been around for centuries,
While they have gained in popularity in the last few years again, go back and look at some legit science and mainstream articles from the early 1970's.
There was a huge gathering of the Scientific elite in 1970 in Stockholm, and much like the "We are doomed via Global Warming" coference in Paris a few years back, they concluded that based on the growth patterns and "shifting" of glaciers and other bodies of ice that became active over the last 100 years the theory was that most of North America would be covered by another Ice Age by 2020, and that by 2010 all of Canada and much of the Northern US would be under a sheet of ice,
I find that many of the scientific doomsday theories tend to have very long life cycles that tend to go out decades beyond the present, and decades beyond the Scientific grants given to those who are tasked to continue reaseach on it.
We have made it through nearly 200 "End of the world" dates since 1970, be them Scientific, religious, or otherwise I think we will be ok...
