The Canadian government has added over 240,000 citizens to their population; most of them from the United States. These people woke up as Canadians on April 17th. More info on it here.

I think it's quite obvious that Canada is trying to pay America back for the War of 1812. :|

So what your trying to say is that... Canada feels bad for kicking the US's ass out of their country.. So they're paying them back by making some of them Canadians? ;)

Some people were Canadian in the US, but they did not know (The childrens). They lost their Canadian Citizenship.
