Has anyone had a kidney stone? If so, how did you survive it  I heard some very terrifying stories today of this guy that had one. Literally brought him to his knees screaming in pain :? Said it was as if his insides were getting nuked.

I haven't had one but I know some who have. You get it from not drinkign enough water apparently. And they crush them before you have to pee them out nowadays.
I haven't but know a couple people who have, they both say it's the worst pain you can have and that they pretty much wanted to die when they passed theirskfjlyou don't want to die, u just want morphine
[QUOTE="warmachines"]i had 2 kidney stones the past two yearsTjeremiah1988Two  ! How did u get rid of em? u pee them out by drinking alot. my doctor also gave me vicadin for whenever it happens again
I woke in the night and spent 45 minutes constantly wincing and cringing and in deep pain, waiting for it to grind itself out. My friend gets at least two a week. He regularly has them lasered or something, but it rarely helps. I feel real bad for him.Has anyone had a kidney stone? I love that episode. Anyways, my 9th grade science teacher says it's the worst pain he has ever experienced..No, but judging from you guys and that one episode of Seinfeld; it sounds very painful.

After an agonizing 8 hours, he was finally able to pass the stone [boulder]. BTW thats the guy made out of rock from the fantastic 4 :P
How do you get kidney stones? I heard a rumor you get em' if you drink alot of soda [pepsi] any truth to that?Bardock47My sister told me the same thing when she was trying to convince me to stop drinking soda. Don't know if it's true. I've heard about plenty of people who cry because it hurts so bad
My dad has. Once it was so badthat he couldn't pass the stone and was admitted to hospital and had a catheder inserted into his.. ahem.. and they pretty much broke the stone into smaller pieces so he could pass them.
He was writhing in pain for days
Oy I've had them before they are terrible there are no words that can describe how painful it is to pass one..
Had my first one last year. I'd rather be kicked in the babymakers repeatedly then have to go though that kind of pain again.
[QUOTE="Hallenbeck77"]Mainly because it feels like someone stabbing the babymakers, and can last for hours. The pain I felt had me thinking my appendix had burst. I had to literally crawl to my front door to have someone take me to the hospital. By the time my fiance came to the hospital to pick me up, I was just a sad sight...and blitzed to the gills from the morphine the doctor gave me for the pain.Had my first one last year. EDIT: correction, 3. i guess the pain thread had the term "kidney stone" in it that your filter picked up on.  well done sir!
No, I never had it, thank God for that.. do you drink beer?(I drink beer, just few) I heard beer prevents from having kidney stones.. just don't drink too much soda, that helps too.. drink plenty of water helps too. which I do.
