[QUOTE="Pirate700"]Detroit sucks. Michigan is actually a really pretty state. I know right? The blue spruce that grows and all the flowers..... fields of flowers and its all just so beautiful. I love this state.[QUOTE="ShutterOfMouths"]Michigan sucks.Kevlar101
Ugh, speaking of blue spruce, our idiot neighbors that moved in up the street pulled theirs out.
Lowered the property value of the entire neighborhood and now their property looks like shlt because they left a fvck ton of elms and ugly shrubs.

A nice state to visit, but the road conditions are a little weird.
Michigan's interstate highways have a bunch of potholes, yet when you go onto their local roads, they're as smooth as glass.
what town? I'm in Alma.[QUOTE="Kevlar101"][QUOTE="ninjastar"]
I live in Michigan.

Port Huron
Someone that lives in St. Clair County? Mind blown.
The bad half of Detroit sucks. Michigan is actually a really pretty state.*fixed*[QUOTE="ShutterOfMouths"]Michigan sucks.Pirate700
Not always true. It depends where you go but in general, Michigan roads are sh*t. Normally tough winters and a tiny budget for road repairs do that. It's the only major complaint I have about living here.A nice state to visit, but the road conditions are a little weird.

I have lived in Michigan all my life and I absolutely LOVE this state! The more I explore the more amazing I feel it is.
Anyone who goes to Michigan just needs to head north, past Flint. As you go north you come to realize how much amazing wilderness there is here.
Lets also not forget the Great Lakes which are a real wonder of the world!
Gonna actually go swimming in lake Huron next weekend!

[QUOTE="topsemag55"]Too true. Coming into this state was very VERY bumpy. It's hilarious going across the border from the really bumpy highway of Michigan to Ohio's smoother highways. It's a night and day difference. Yes, I said Ohio's highways are smoother, which is the ONLY compliment you'll ever see me give to Ohio. :PA nice state to visit, but the road conditions are a little weird.

I've been to Michigan several times (just passing through), but since I'm from Ohio I'm not allowed to like it. LZ71Heck yea!

You forgot Cedar Point AKA the only reason to go to Ohio (besides passing through)! :P
Whats wrong with Michigan?Kevlar101
I'm sure Michigan is fine, but it is not for me.
I have to be around mountains. To me, a 1,979 foot "mountain" is little more than a hill. I've done races where there are over 5000 feet of climbing up a single mountain. Having been born and raised at the base of a 10,678 ft mountain [literally, I have always been within walking distance of a trailhead], not having any decent sized mountains is no fun.

I was in an Ohio restaurant once, and I overheard an Ohio state policeman remark that some of his fellow officers will ticket you for only 1 MPH over the speed limit. True or not?

I haven't been everywhere in Ohio (not that I would want to), so I can't speak for the whole state, but from my experiences that's not true. Sure, there are places that are notoriously more strict with their speed limits, but even they won't give a ticket for just 1 MPH over.[QUOTE="topsemag55"][QUOTE="LZ71"]I've been to Michigan several times (just passing through), but since I'm from Ohio I'm not allowed to like it. For some reason I get the feeling that they would actually do it for anyone with a Michigan license plate. It just sounds like something Ohio people would do. :PPlease Log In to post.
