I think it looks sweet though......but I'm not a Christian
I guess a lot of tattoos are of people's past.......that could be my lame excuse

Hm...If you're not Christian, why would you get the biggest symbol of Christianity permanently put on your body? :?spazzx625Maybe he was an addition enthusiast and his lower back has begun to sag...

I guess I'm asking what you think I should do.
I guess if people ask about it I can just explain it.
hi_im_dave
Okay...I get it now... So what's the point of this topic, then?spazzx625i think he's asking how he should explain it being as he's not christian. My advice is, cover it up with more tattoos that incorporate the existing ink. that's what it seems like most tattoo folk do!
Ya, I guess its not a huge deal, bc I can cover it.
Maybe, I could see if my artist could modify it. I could see that turning real ugly though.
idunno, i think thats a pretty cool tatoo.
for a second I thought you were gonna have one of those big ugly crosses on your back with some bible passage in old english script like 3 inches tall

even if you were a Christian you'd go to hell for having a tattoo Brainkiller05
rofl seriously? Bible says you cant have tatoos?
[QUOTE="Jandurin"]cool tattoo, though i dunno what psalm 23 meansTheokhoth
It's only the song of David, one of the most famous parts of the Bible.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, [a] I will fear no evil, Wow, that part sounds familiar. Was it in a movie? Or maybe a weird al song.[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"]

It's in the same area that forbids eating pork or shellfish and shaving.
this is funny because in a thread about a week ago people said that there is a passage that allows the eating of pork and shellfish.

I'd like to know which ones, because the Books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy explicitly forbid it. It's Kosher.
Of course, this really only strictly applies to the Jewish. . .Christians have been doing all three for centuries. :P

I forgot, the thread was about swearing or something, and the passage went something like "What goes in the mouth, something something something, then what comes out blah blah blah" and some people interpreted it as the reason not to curse, yet also permission to consume foods that other religions forbid (pork, shellfish, etc).
Also, isnt the book of Leviticus the really really strict one the homophobes always quote?

I was in that topic. >.>
Yep.
although it's a damn ugly cross I'm gonna say this isn't a bad tattoo in theory (personally I think it's a bad tattoo even if you were still very christian).
Christianity was a major part of your life for X amount of years, and hopefully this tattoo will help you remember that time in your life, and things you learned. Like that tattoo the things in your past are permanent, and though you can cover them up, or explain them they're always there.
Though your statement did make me lol a little... made it sound like you got the tattoo yesterday.
