Suit and tie, brush your teeth, comb your hair, smile, turn off your cellphone, try to act interested, try not to be distracted or show any disinterest, use eye contact, answer all relevant questions to the best of your ability, make sure you show interest by asking at least one relevant question towards the end.
If you're just interviewing for a retail position ("processing merchandise" sounds like a fancy way of saying "stock boy") I wouldn't get too concerned about it. Just dress nice and don't screw up by saying something like "I have a problem with authority" or "I treat my job schedule as a suggestion" and you'll get the job. Now if this were something like a corporate interview or grad school/med school/law school/etc. interview then you'd want to dress in professional attire, have prepared statements, and practice answering questions that will probably come up.
