"For taking too many refills" tells us nothing. And people who abuse the free refill policy that some establishments offer will just end up getting such policies eliminated in the long run.

How long were you there, approximately how many refills did you both get, did you also order food, and if so how long after finishing your food were you still there?
also i got kicked out of BarnesandNoble because I was reading a book for about 2 hours. My professor said they arent suppose to do that, you can literally pick up any book and read all day if you wanted to.

How many refills did you take? Three, Four refills is already a lot and they don't stop you from taking that many. If you are going back for more than 4 refills there is a problem, either you are a pig that weighs 400+ pounds or you are wasting the drinks. I personally and satisfied with a single beverage, especially when you consider the ridiculous size of the cups we have in North America.

I couldn't drink more than two subway cups of soda anyway to be honest. They water it down so it's not that pleasant to drink (you can literally see the water coming out of the machine along with the soda), and too much soda will leave you pretty bloated anyways. Maybe it was for the best. :P
