My buddy actually got $.25 for a game, but I don't remember which one it was. I think it was only a couple of years old too. I never exchange at Gamestop. If the game is new enough, it's going on eBay. If not, I just make a bulk of a bunch of games and sell it as a lot.
It's one thing that the store says it'll give you only a dollar, but if you actually agreed to it and traded it in, and then say they ripped you off, that's an extremely foolish thing to do on your part.

On the occasion that I trade in old games to them, they always tell me what I'll get for it. If they didn't do that for you, you didn't to ask them what you'd get for it?
I once gave GS a DVD of The Matrix Game and not the actual "game". Basically the DVD contained the making of the game with the real game case but they didnt know it was just a DVD :)

Who's fault is that? Always ask for a breakdown. Like another poster said, there's always alternatives. Don't like the trade in value then don't do business with them.

One you should have asked for a break down. Two, you should have told the to void the transaction once you saw it and weren't happy. Yesyou can ask them to void it
lol this reminds me of two days ago when I was @ gamestop (didnt want to be, i hate em but I was going to milk a game out of my pops and it was close). And as I stood @ checkout while buying FC2 (which they tried to sell me an open copy as new, and I then left empty handed but I digress), there was some fool trading in his copy of kingdom hearts for the ps2. and they offered him $3.60 for it and he took it.
Am I am thinking to myself the whole time, wow they bought it for 3 bucks and are going to sell it to someone for 10 bucks without a box or manual (prolly)
And leaving empty handed and having to drive to game crazy to get me a sealed copy of FC2 is just another reason why Gamestop sucks so much balls.
I once bought a used copy of MvC2 for 80 bucks at GS. I rushed home, turn on my PS2, put in the disk, waited 20 minutes for it to load, took the disk out, looked at the back, seen that it was extremely scratched up, cried for 3 days.
Well that, and having potentially suffered a life-threatening stroke. Why God? WHY!!!???? Cut down in his prime...

Well, he agreed to it, so I can't feel bad for him. If he didn't ask what he was going to get for it before he traded it in, Thats's on him.
It's an American company of course that's what going to happen. Did you expect a pat on the head, a hug and 100% on what you paid? To that I respond leave America if you want that sort of treatment.
