Usually I don't make or post threads that have to do something with politics. But I thought this was pretty funny/interesting. Anyone would like to explain the meaning of this t-shirt and the connection with che and obama? actually will someone make tell me the connection between obama looking like The Joker(heather ledgar version) with the words "Why so socialist" when the Joker was all about anarchy?

It's a play on words, there's no similarity in the life of Che and Obama's life so far.

Basically we all know that Ché was a marxist, there's various rhetoric circulating among some political groups in the US that Obama is a socialist/communist/marxist, therefore they can compare him with Ché because they can make a clever play on words about saying "no" to communism and/or socialism based on whatever they percieve Obama as. Of course, there's no real connection there.

You know a joke's bad when you have to explain it.

:roll: Here we go again, Obama is a communist. Regardless, I don't see how that's even a bad thing. I'd much rather have Che as president than Bush or McCain/Palin.

Erm, no... Anarchy is the lack of government, and is an extreme right-wing concept. Now there is something known as anarcho-communism (theres also anarcho-capitalism), where property, wealth, and law is owned and enforced by people belonging to the commune. But that form of communism doesn't develop from a socialist government as a socialist government would be quite large with bureaucracy.

Then you and the people from the communist union have told me different.. they said Marxist communism is stateless and govern less, which is basically anarchy.. omg im confused

Because Americans generally follow a knee-jerk emotional hive-mind. Ever since the "Red scare", there's still been a strong underlying fear of communism. Generally speaking many Americans can not think of socialism without thinking of the Soviet Union and jump on the anti-socialist bandwagon, preaching the same reiterated drivel they saw on Fox news.

Ideally, it would be stateless and a form of anarcho-communism. But in the real world, It would be hard to move from a large socialist government to a stateless commune society. But there are people who are better read up on this stuff, so get a second opinion.

Anyone who connects socialism to anarchy and thinks they're being clever with the why so socialist are pure idiots.

Anarchy = no government/ no control

Socialism= government control
