So, I turned 21 a while back, and alcohol is disgusting...

I've been out with my brothers, and many friends. Every time I get a margarita or a beer, I waste my money.

So far, I don't see how soo many can drink a bud light or sometinhg

It takes time to enjoy alcohol. I didn't like it at first either. And alcohol is a lot different than other drinks, especially sweet drinks like soda & juice.

I recommend try finding a favorite mixed drink and a favorite beer.

My favorite liquor drink for a long time was Vodka & Tonic, which I still like. But I do like Jack & Coke now too.

For beer; Go with something not cheap, like New Castle or a Corona with lime.

Try a screwdriver. If its mixed right you can hardly tell. Beer is an aquired tastes,and avoid all fruity drinks. Rum and coke can also be good.

But if you want to try good drinks, you should start with more sweet alchool. I like red Martini with a piece of lemon and a cherry with a lot of ice.I admit with you that after tasting great beers, you neverwant to drink this pee called a Budweiser...

i drank underage but only tasting never really consuming a lot, not even a shots worth of whatever.. on my 21st birthday i drank grey goose and hated it (smooth my ***).. and i went to vegas with the family (cliche, i know), my cousin turned 21 the next day so it was for both of us..

and while at the tables/machines i kept drinking rum and coke, vodka and sprite and it was delicious.. then my dad took me to a bar drinking beer and it tasted pretty good while i was doing things (not just sitting doing nothing).. (drunk as hell for week) ...

when i got home i bought season tickets for the chicago bears, and i never liked miller/bud i kind of liked coors... but the bears are sponsered by miller, so 3 seasons of drinking 2-3 mgd at games, it started tasting pretty damn good...

needless to say, once you get beer on tap (tastes a lot better).. and are doing something, not sitting there dwelling on the taste.. alcohol tastes great.. so sure you don't have to drink but if you are one of those people who feel awkward at going out with people and be the only one not drinking, or passing on opprotunities to go out because you don't want to be the only one not drinking.. then try chasers or mixed drinks to gain a slight tolerance so when you go out you have a drink or two but never get drunk.. or drink something strong for the first drink then the rest tastes like heaven in your mouth... like everclear...

Some peoples don't have any interest in drinking and I respect that. It's not like he would not discover the cold fusion theorem because he didn't get drunk before 21!
