So I was called a racist.

I was called a racist on World of Warcraft, people were talking on Trade chat about how only people of color get arrested and it's never white people.

I started talking about an Indian man here in Chattanooga that was arrested for using prostitutes (including child prostitutes) at his Motel. Basically he was running a whore house (like I said, children included). I said it was a good thing that he was locked up. I was THEN met with a hail of troll and flame saying that I was a racist and the cops were racist for arresting him, and that if it was a white guy doing the same thing he wouldn't have been arrested. First I thought maybe they were just saying that to get a rise but no, these people were dead serious (There was about 8 or 9 people saying the same thing).

Is this what it's come to? What is going on?!

Sadly there are people who really believe this crap. I have some old military buddies who are still on my FB and happen to be black, they were pissed off at the Phillip Seymour Hoffman news coverage. Why? Because "Uncle Phil" from Fresh Prince had passed from a heart attack a few weeks earlier and it was just a small blurb on the news. In their minds this was all driven by race. never mind the fact Hoffman's death was big news due to his age, circumstances, and the fact he was a big star. When was the last time "Uncle Phil" was even on television? Even when he was he was a co-star. Hell, I can't even remember his real name. Common freaking sense why this was huge news and the other was just a side note. If Will Smith died in the same circumstances it would be bigger news than Hoffman's death in my opinion.

Anyone who denies racism exists would be a fool, but it has gotten to the point that things are doing so much better (black president anyone?) people are starting to nitpick racism.

People are being called racist for being against illegal immigration. Nothing should surprise you nowadays. Especially on the internet where for the first time people can speak their mind in real-time anonymously.

Anything and everything gets said on the internet, mostly because people think they are anonymous and it won't come back to bite them in the ass. Look at was 13-year-olds say on XBOX live. I've never heard such hateful stuff spewed. The kids don't likely mean it or even know what they are saying.

Uhg, bleeding heart anti-racists are the worst. God forbid you ever have an opinion that isn't "white people are shit, and we should give every other race everything they want". As a believer in equality (ie, no affirmative action, wanting to prevent illegal immigration, thinking natives should not get special treatment, etc) I have been labeled a racist many a time.

That's far out there to say whites never face the criminal justice system, they quite obviously do. Though there is racial disparity with regards to the criminal justice system in a number of factors, such as who police decide to stop, who they aggressively seek charges against, who the DA decides should go to trial, who a jury identifies with, and how a judge imposes a sentence. And at each level people of color face disparity.

Then again maybe in this instance the law applies differently because prostitution being illegal and all. While an educated white person might flirt the law by operating an "escort" and call-girl business might evade law enforcement easier than a dude with a pimp outfight and a workforce of street walkers hanging out on a slum corner. Anyhow, there's a very easy way to avoid all this legal contentiousness...

Gotta agree with this. The word "racist" has pretty much lost all meaning. With that being said, there are plenty of people out in the world with an intellect on par with a bag of rocks, so you're right, nothing should really be surprising anymore.

Don't use the video embed code websites give you, just take the browser address and stick it in the pop-up window that forms when you click the video button. The video button is up at the top of the comment creation box 2nd button from the right.

If you're already doing that and it's still not working,sometimes the video doesn't want to embed I think if you use an address like "www.whatever.com/video/1083blahblahblah", in that case if it should happen add the "http://" to it.

There's been some general video posting issues in the past and for a long while nobody could do it, but I think it's fixed now.

My experience with general chat on MMOs, there is way too many closed minded idiots with no critical thinking skills. I wouldnt be bit surprise the people on the chat were just regurgitating what their parents told them and so they tell to others who will believe it.

People need to treat these things like how they would treat any other kind of racism
