...then who created God?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
He has always existed, and that is not hard to believe. The matter that created us has also always existed in one way or another.
Here, I'll stop the thread before it starts. Christians: He's God nobody created him. Atheists: Then why do you question the fact that the universe always existed? Christians: Blablabla abortion Atheists: Blablabla evolution *huge argument that had nothing to do with the original post*Mochyc
 You're a wise man.

Atheist: That is illogical
Christian: Your going to hell
Athiest: blah blah blah there is no hell
Christian: blah blah blah homosexuality is evil

Yup, that's pretty much spot on. I guess now I'm supposed to make a Flying Spaghetti monster joke and giggle like a little girl.
God, an eternal spiritual being, is the being by which all matter exists. God is not bound by time, matter, power, etc. All physical existence was created by the one whom is not bound by physical reality.mindstormHow convenient
[QUOTE="smc91352"]does it matter? I don't care if a god created the universe, and I don't care what created that god.C_BozkurT_Cyes it does matter actually. why would you not want to know how everything came about?
Actually it doesn't matter. You'll never know the truth. The only that matters is what you believe and that should be enough. If you believe in god he wants your devotion. If you wanted you to have knowledge he would have made adam and eve Knowledgeable. But he didn't.
If you don't believe in god. Well knowing how the universe started isn't going to make you loose sleep.

I stopped reading after that because that pretty much summed it all up.

if god created the universe then why are there massive boulders flying through space at a thousand miles per hour that will collide with Earth? Brainkiller05
Those were obviously planted by satan in an attempt to drive us away from our heavenly father.

God, an eternal spiritual being, is the being by which all matter exists. God is not bound by time, matter, power, etc. All physical existence was created by the one whom is not bound by physical reality.mindstormThis doesn't explain why the universe isn't infinite and always was here.. A) Its more logical because we can actually SEE the universe, we live in side of it.. B) The Universe being infinite makes just about as much sense as god being infinite.

I agree that either one of two things are infinite: God or the universe. However, there is no proof that the universe is infinite and thus one can only make assumptions.
His Parents, who also keep telling him he plays The Sims too much....then who created God?

And there's no proof that god exists, let alone being infinite. And why do you think that there's only 1 being not bound by time, matter etc. Why can't there be a gazillion gods existing outside of our physical boundaries?
this is an interesting question.. one that I proposed to my own family at the age of 4... and of which I didn't get a great answer to. If God exists.. great, if god doesn't exist.. oh well. If you question the origin of anything.. and you assume god exists and ask who created god.. then you'd have to keep asking well who created the entity that created god.. and then who created that entity.. and the previous entity and so on and so on.. ultimately the only real solution is that humans created god. Or at least the concept of him. Anyways, I've moved onto other things now and decided it's not all that as important as it seems. If god exists he exists outside the realm of proving....then who created God?
C_BozkurT_C
No, it's not. It's a very important question even concerning the creation of the universe.. without the concept of god. How can something come from nothing? That's ultimately what is being asked. This question is ridiculous. If god was created, he wouldn't be omnipotent. :|

I'm going to assume the universe, atleast we know that exists
The Observer Effect should explain how 'God' was created, if that can be applied........
I think we all are god. We are all part of the fabric that makes up life, so to me that means that not one person or entity has a higher grasp of things over any other concious living object/being. In truth, the quetion wqill never be answered, or it might once we die and cross over to what some believe is our true selves.
