What did they say about where monkeys came from? This question has been stuck in my head for a while, anyone know?LiL_PiNoWell, scientists are not proposing we evolved from monkeys, so perhaps your general unknowingness on the issue is the cause for your present confusion.

What did they say about where monkeys came from? This question has been stuck in my head for a while, anyone know?LiL_PiNomonkeys are mammals. they come from the same origins as dogs and whales. they just evolved rather differently.

im sure if you tried doing research youd find out.
What did they say about where monkeys came from? This question has been stuck in my head for a while, anyone know?LiL_PiNogod doesn't exist, get it straight to you head.

theres not enough proof to say god exists. Ive seen bones of past creatures and how they evolved, its scientifically proven we evolved. Theres no way a guy snapped his fingers and we appeaed. How does that explain the massive universe we live in.

Animals are evolved, but we have no proof that we evolved from monkeys, nor do we have proof their is a god.[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]god doesn't exist, get it straight to you head. Stop! I dont want to start a religous threadLiL_PiNoBut that is exactly what is going to happen by asking this question. You believe in Creationism and felt a need to disgrace those of us who don't by asking your misinformed question about apes. You made your bed, now lie in it.

[QUOTE="xaos"]There are no scientific claims that we arose from monkeys but rather that there is common ancestry between humans and many branches of simians. Hope that helps.LiL_PiNoThanks man, for real... Actually a helpful answer...
ive seen alot of programs of how monkeys eventually began to stand. Then began to hunt, and slowly changed into early man, and eventually to the humans today.

No problem; I'm usually one of the snarky contentious ones, so every once in a while, I like to be not an ass just to balance the scales a little

quess what, everyhting first came from one celled organisms, then fish. We had to evolve from something. We didnt just appear. Did we evolve from bears?birds?donkeys? no, scientist have traced our evolution to apes.
Only those who have not educated themselves on the matter believe that scientists say we evolved from monkeys.
We as Homo sapiens (sapiens) originated from a primate named Australopithecus who "broke away" from the common primate line, who then later evolved into chimpanzees.
Australopithecus was about as intelligent as chimpanzees and gorillas are today, but their major difference was that they started walking upright and lost their opposable thumbs on their feet, in response to being pushed out into the African Savannah. About 4 million years ago.foxhound_fox
you said it yourself, they broke away, but they were originally apart of it right?they came from the group right? that means when you trace our evolution back you hit monkeys. so we did evole from monkeys.

Primates. Not monkeys.
Primate families
Hominidae
Primate -> Suborder Haplorrhini -> Infraorder Simiiformes -> Parvorder Catarrhini -> Superfamily Hominoidea -> Family Hominidae -> Homininae -> Tribe Hominini -> Genus Homo -> Homo sapiens (sapiens)

TC, your argument is idiotic. A better question would be since matter cannot be created or destroyed, where did all the matter in the universe come from?Laserwolf65
