It's an AEG and they said in the description that I should buy special BBs that are made for electric guns. becuz some BBs that are advetised as being high end are designed for spring rifles and could damage the AEG kinds if you use them. Are they trying to con me into buying special, expensive pellets from them or is there truth to that? If so, what should I buy?

So if we all have one then won't we all be happy?

I don't know about spring vs. electric, but you always want to use ground, not molded, BBs. The difference is that if you make them in a mold, they aren't perfect spheres and can damage your gun, as opposed to grinding the shape out from a cube. The ones from Wal-mart/Target are molded, and a bag of 300 or so of them usually comes with your gun. If there is an airsoft store near where you live, you can get the good ones there.

So there. You got an answer in only a few minutes.

Not only is that disputeable, but spring ones require cocking after every shot which is a huge and unecessary pain.

Although it is pretty cool using the cheap ones because they shatter on impact. But that's all they're good for. The nice ones aren't that expensive.

Agreed, electric guns go about 30-50 feet then just scatter. That's why you get a high-torque motor.

They may not,but depending on the gun,you want a faster fireing rate at a lack of fireing distance.

Also depending on what kind of area you are playing at. Woods=range is better. 'Speedball' type=ROF is better.

Irmeleeman if you have any questions about airsoft just ask me, I am the man to ask on gamespot, this is a gaming site so most people here know little to nothing about airsoft.

I never see airsoft talk here... I only have a spring handgun, for entertainment purposes, but my friend is an expert on the subject. He even spraypainted his L96 green so it looks like the AWP from counterstrike.

Me and my buds use to play airsoft, but not anymore, they are more into soccer now, we use to have tons of fun, hell we even did boxing on my backyard.
