so what happened was, on facebook he and his friend were telling each other these sick sex jokes about each other. I was just joking around as well and was all like "eww gross! you and her? ugh!" keep in mind i was joking! then he starts calling me an a-whole and said things like "no wonder you have no friends" and "you stepped over the line!" and im thinking "you were telling sex jokes about each other, how did i step over the line?" of course i apologized and explained that i was joking but he is taking things WAY too seriously to listen or even care. advice?

tell him you have many friends on Gamespot.

More realistically just don't talk to him and see what he's like the next day. He may realize he overreacted. There is nothing that can be done by you at this point though.

i dont think i was.. she isnt exactly the hottest girl in the world. plus hes got a gf so... they were just joking. and i told a sarcastic joke.... and he went ballistic...

Well, ya just gots ta be careful is all. I mean, fighting online is worse than fighting in real life, 'cause ya can't strangle the other person. X) Naw, but lack of voice kinda helps sometimes. Say you send a message you thought sounded really awkward and it's too late to edit, but the other person read it differently and they didn't think it awkward at all. It's the internet ya know? Things happen. As long as you know it's all in good fun. Well, most of it anyways. :roll:

To be honest, it sounds like he didn't like you in the first place, and he's just using this as an excuse to stop being friends with you.

I've done it before...

You already apologized so there's nothing more for you to do. If he can't accept that and realize that you were only joking then just move on. You don't need all that petty drama, especially over something so insignificant. And especially with him insulting you. Just stop communicating with the guy and go find a better friend.
