Whelp, can't get much worse than that.

don't ask her out just yet if she just broke up with him. give her at least a week or two. even then might be too short of a time. i tried that once (asking the girl out right after her and her bf had broken up) and she said no because she had just gotten out of the relationship. but then again, maybe she was just using that as an excuse to say no, and maybe she would have said no anyways even if she hadn't just had a boyfriend :P
