So i got on the bus going home. Before i got on i bought some lunch with me on the bus. When i got on started eating. Three kids were like "there's no eating on the bus", "it smells like crap man". So what i did was well i just put it away. I didn't even say anything. I felt that i shouldve said something like "you should ask nicely" or something, instead i didn't say anything. The kids were any where from the 6th grade - 9th grade, so like around 10-14 years of age, i'm 19. I didn't feel like i should goto their level and cuss them out or something, what would you have done and did i go the right thing?

I would have said **** you if you don't wanna smell my food go sit somewhere else, I can eat wherever the **** I want to"...then flip them off and continue eating.

If it didn't smell, I would ignore them. Or if I was hungry. But I hate to eat while I'm being pestered, and I also hate when others eat gross smelling things, especially when I'm hungry.

Those kid's might have just wanted to bother you. A couple of times when I was walking home, these kids started to bug me and I mostly ignored them and just kept walking. I think it was because I looked like someone they knew or something.:evil:

Well, I'm on the fence here. On one hand, I hate teenagers and the lack of respect for people and I would love to put those little pukes in their place. On the other hand, if your rice really did smell (doesn't matter if you don't mind it) and you are in an enclosed area like a bus, I would be giving you death stares.

Sometimes you're pressed for time and have to eat on the bus/subway/plane etc., unless of course there are signs displaying an opposing rule. You should've just ignored them and kept on eating, but then again, they'd prolly keep on bugging and make things worse so in all, I suppose you did the right thing.

i truly want to, hell if one of them broke into my home i wouldn't hesitate to get my rifle. But see on the bus i don't want to punch one in the face then goto jail.

However, I cant really say Id have stood for that myself.... in fact, i KNOW i wouldnt have. I have been in similar "power" struggles with younger kids on my bus. In fact, I had to earn my respect by beating the crap out of a few of them, and not taking their crap. One kid didnt want me to sit next to them. So what did i do? I sat there anyhow. They tried everything they could to get me to move, including digging their fingernails into my hands. I was bleeding all over the place, including them, and I just looked at them, with a bit of tamed rage in my eyes and said 'I dont give a **** what you think you can do, the fact is you cant make ME do anything cause I wont be your little *****.' Then it was their stop, so i wiped my blood on them. Nice expensive pair of pants too...they whined about it so i said 'Wanna do something about it? ill make sure you get blood on your shirt too' *Shrugs* that worked for me.

Yea I think you did the right thing. Nothing more humiliating than standing your ground to a bunch of kids only to get kicked off by the bus driver for causing a 'disturbance'...
