Why do people complain about it? It introduces older music to a younger generation. It gives kids more knowledge. It teaches good morals. Its just a fun show to watch, its a nice change, considering whenever i turn on t.v its always crime shows showing gross dead bodies of people that have been brutally murdered.

victim of its success IMO some of the stories this year have been rubbish and too lead on by the theme of the music, for example the last episode i watched was the fleetwood mac one, and whilst its great to get a bit of them on (despite the chain being too brief and rachel murdering go your own way) the whole "rumours" bit went way too far

i think sue is the only thing keeping it going

Never watched it but I do like how they brought back the popularity of songs from the 60's era.

I very much enjoy Glee. Aside from the music, it is a very well concieved and written show. It is a very biting satire of greater society and high school in particular.

I can't really complain about the music because they sound all right, though I'm just not a fan of the hip-hop/broadway style they go for. But in terms of the high school drama, I could do without it. There are way better shows you could be watching if you want real drama.

Broadway and Showtunes are usually well liked by girls and gay guys. I think it is funny during football season and they try to advertise this show during the game. Somehow I don't think that show is going to appeal to the football crowd. The adverts make the show seem very annoying and the characters seem very very annoying. Watch a show about singing high school kids? I'd rather stare at the wall.

Personally I find it to be a rather unintelligent show. My mom watches it often and from what I have seen the characters don't react realistically to situations. For instance I saw an episode where this adopted girl meets her mom for the first time and her mom is ready to leave forever yet again. Instead of being upset the girl just want her mom to sing with her before she leaves. Now I understand singing is the main part of the show, but they sung poker face. I would have been okay with it if the song matched what her mood should have been given the situation, but Poker Face doesn't fit any sort of mood.

I will say that the Jane Lynchis a wonderful addition to the show so it's not all bad since she is a great character, but I just find it to have mostly dumb plots.

1. It's overrated. 2. They did songs from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. 3. Glee clubs don't exist anymore!

I personally love watching it. It has some pretty interesting covers, with my favorite episode being "The Power of Madonna". But my only gripe is the corny and somewhat annoying story and cast. But gotta love me some Sue. :P

I'd like Glee more if there was less singing. And the characters were better written. And maybe they should just move it to a community college instead of a high school. Ooh, they could have Chevy Chase there too!

One of my guilty pleasures :P Have nothing against it aside from a poor Season 2 (compared to Season 1) and some songs aren't as good as they could've been and/or don't fit with the story/theme.

I find the show to be pretty cheesy. I would much rather watch a serious drama, The Sopranos, for example.

I have only seen 3 episodes, but they're all exactly the same thing:

1) They make bad songs even worse. Rock, pop...everything.

2) (And this happened EVERY time). They spend time promoting homosexual relationships, and their target is heavily toward teens.

3) The moral messages go against everything I stand by, and I'm not talking just about #2...also with dealing with bullies, activities, peer pressure, "trust," everything in general.

I can deal with some "cheese" but when you ruin songs and everything else I said^ (in addition to other factors), I sure am staying away from this show at all cost.

I've seen a few Episodes, seems like a High School Musical turned into a show. Which I'm surprised it took so long for someone to use that idea.

Im straight guy, and i love music, everything besides most rap and all metal. But your stereotyping, are you not comfortable with your sexuality? Broadway is great. Fine, be a macho guy, and miss out on things. How immature is that? "I can't do things that involve music and emotion because im straight"

It's cheesy and has that american soap syndrome of everyone being perfect, personally i only find it entertaining when things go badly for the main charecters.

They take a good song and ruin the hell out of it. This is the part where I thought my head was going to explode.

The question is, what ISN'T wrong with glee?

I enjoyed it for about the first five episodes of season one. Then it went downhill from there as it's popularity grew.

Four main things are needed in order to make this show enjoyable again. (For me, at least.)

They need to focus more on music, and less on the drama. I liked the first few episodes because they actually had a bit of humor in there.

For the music, they need to stop auto-tuning and over-producing every single song, and give it more of that liveperformance feel.

When they're singing, they need to stay in one location. Show us an entire performance on a stage. Not wandering the halls, on the roof, up the flagpole, whatever.

And finally, they need to just have better writing. There's too many characters in the show to give them all attention every episode. Stop jumping between all of them and stick with a couple main ones each episode. Stop being so overdramatic. Also, stop trying to send a positive message to the viewers. I thought this show was supposed to be about music.

These are my thoughts, anyways, and I'm sure there are people who would disagree.

It's not as bad as I thought tbh. I find some of the episodes pretty funny and it's still and enjoyable show to watch.

My thoughts exactly, plus some of the cast members are too old to be playing a high school student anyway.
