So why can't men hit women?

It's wrong to hit someone, no matter who they are...unless you're trying to defend yourself. If one man hit a weaker man it would be wrong...and the weaker man could press assault charges and have the offender arrested.

Yeah it does and it's crazy no one cares if a stronger man beats the crap out of a weaker man.
But if a man hits a woman even once, there will be a bunch of woman that will say "That man should be sent to prison for life!"

I am a man, and I know of females a lot stronger then me.
So if I was ever in a fight agaisnt a stronger female, wouldn't I be allowed to defend my self??

ok so if a women came walking to you in a threatning manner to you on you property would you lay them out? Will you do it if it was a skinny and weak man. In Qatar you can kill someone(on your property) if they pose a threat to your home and belongings.

As I said, hitting someone is wrong unless it's in self-defense. If someone, no matter what size or gender they were, came onto my property and was physically threatening myself or my family I would first verbally warn them and if they didn't desist from their aggressive behavior, I would defend myself and my family. There's a huge difference between unwarranted abuse and defense of self, family and home. I think you understand that, right?

It's about a 50-50 split between men and women on who is the aggressor in demestic abuse cases. Something like 53-47 leaning towards male aggressors being more frequent.

I don't think war should be tolerated in a civilized society, but that's never going to change and neither is fighting. Regardless, there is thing called Chivalry. Hitting a woman isn't noble.

well, if the woman takes it a hell lot of too far...

Personally, I've always thought chivalry is rather sexist, really. If women truly want equality with men, they need to learn to take the bad with the good. :P
