Your poll is wrong. Capitalism and socialism are not forms of governments. Communism is an example of socialism.BlackAlpha666
Communism is a specific form of socialsim, but by pure definition communism is not socialism.

i voted capitalist, because logically speaking its the only one that can benefit anyone.
I know you didnt mean government either.
and of course, theres gonna be all the 16 year olds saying socialism and communism is best. pretty easy to say while you're hanging out at home on the internet, while people in actual socialist countries are starving ;)

Not everyone who supports communism is a 16 year old who doesn't know what they're talking about. I support it, and while I may only be 19, I support it because I have learned about it from both my grandad and uncle who are both supporters of it.
And while you are right that socialism has never worked well in the past, it is a great idea, and just because it hasn't worked in the past, doesn't mean it can't work in the future. If everyone gave up every time a good idea failed where would we be now? Still living in caves probably. We need to work at it and try to find a way to get it to work properly.

Yes, you are right.
And I picked capitalism. In a perfect world I might choose communism/socialism.
None of them. Monarchy is undemocratic and by definition puts the interests of the monarch above the people. Communism is too extreme and like monarchy results in authoritarian governments. Capitalism is based on greed and results in extremely unequal wealth distribution. In order to counteract the negative effects of capitalism i'd go with social democracy. In fact, neither pure capitalism nor pure socialism do exist. Modern economies are by the most part mixed economies.

The free market is set by supply and demand. If you are too greedy...you won't profit.

Yep no one goes hungry in capitalist country's!not like they do in socialist ones. if you were moral, youd tried to see as few people starve as possible.
at least in capitalism the bum on the street can ask for handouts and its really not a burden to give a few dollars.

There is nothing in socialism that prevents a bum on the street from asking for handouts. In socialism, there shouldn't even be a bum on the street. What you are refering to is totalitarianism. A form of govenment that communism/socialism often turns into due to corrupt governments.
Yep. Some people can afford a helicopter some cant feed their children. Justice!swizz-the-gamerCapitalism is not a form of government. The government creates programs for public assistance so the poor can feed their children. What country are you talking about that uses the capitalist market and the government isn't helping the poor?

guys like donald trump and bill gates donate more charity than socialist countries give out food. morallity dosent really exist in the socialist realm, only lazyness.

I didnt say there was a bum on the street in socialism. I was talking about our starving people.
Socialist countries stretch themselves to thin. theres an inherit economic error. I forget the actual name of it, but Ludwig Von Mises talked about it alot.

Yep no one goes hungry in capitalist country's!Capitalism is far from perfect. It has many flaws and pitfalls. However, I still consider it better than the other alternatives out there. Every attempt to implement socialsim on a large scale has resulted in oppressive governments that benefit only the small minority in "the party." The general person is still left impoverished and no better off.
People argue that these governments are not true socialism or communism, but what good is theory if it can't be successfuly implemented?
Either socialism or communism. A monarchy has an unelected person in charge purely because they happen to be born into the right family. Capitalism has rich people in charge. At least socialism and communism tries to do what is best for the hard working normal people.mattyftm
O.M.G. Someone that agrees with me!!!!

Seriously, how many times are people going to say that? Its been said tonnes of times. It doesn't need to be said again.
Capitalism is an ecconomic system. Ecconomic sysetems are one of the main influencing factors on the way a government runs. The TC didn't explain it properly, but everyone with more than one brain cell should know what he means and just answer the question rather than shouting "BUT TEH CAPITALISM IS NO TEH FROM OF GOVERMINT!!!"

Did you even read what the other people said? In theory it works like that but not in practice because the theory forgot that humans can be corrupt. So you end up with a rich guy, a few rich people underneath him and everyone else "equally" at the bottom, in the same poor condition.
Perhaps because it's inaccurate to place it with forms of government for the purpose of comparing government. :|Seriously, how many times are people going to say that? Its been said tonnes of times. It doesn't need to be said again.

Obama doesn't. America is capitalist country and we help the poor
Capitalism. Socialism and Communism just don't work and the Monarchy is outdated.
Godly_Cure
Communism is too extreme but socialism can work. Sweden for example is the most solid socialist state, yet it doesnt seem they are very poor nor that they are going down under.

Still, an extensive range of services in Sweden are provided by state-owned enterprises, which are funded by one of the highest levels of taxation in Europe. They include health care, housing for the needy, education, and child care for working parents.

That would be a mix of the two then and not pure socialism.[QUOTE="Godly_Cure"]Sweden uses a free market.X4D

Well, seeing as how there is no socialism standard and socialism is a mix of different things that the country thinks is best, it's kind of hard to say that socialism is good and then compare it with a country that uses mixed systems. The only good things I see in socialism is government funded education, health care and some others. But you don't need a socialism based government to implement those things.

All countries implement some form of socialism. Taxes, themselves, are a way of redistributing wealth. Most countries with captialistic economies utilize and provide social services such as welfare, disability, health care, retirement, etc. These programs are funded by taxing the economy driven by capitalism.
