Weird.

It's closer to total darkness so it's easier to fall asleep.

Well, I always sleep with a cover/pillow/blanket over my head.

Similar concept, so I guess I can see the appeal.

yeah there alot of people who will slept with eye masks when they work graveyard. working graveyard long amount of time suck i will tell you that much it really messes with your sleep. when i was doing it i had a hard time falling asleep during the day or i would get only 4 to 5 hours of sleep. btw i hear that people who tend to work graveyard have shorter life spands.

No. Multiple times. Since we had family over, I had to sleep in my brother's tiny bed. He has a fish tank in his room, which is located directly next to the bed :l

I tried to do it once. Couldn't fall asleep, it just felt weird having something on my face and it bothered me; same thing with a pillow as well.

I sleep during the day so it can be extremely helpful if I didn't already have window shades that block out most of the light.

ive not used a mask, but i have used my beanie a couple times. had to sleep on the couch while relatives took my bed.

there is too much light in the main room. i cant sleep unless its pitch black. put the beanie over my eyes so it was dark enough to sleep.

I work nights and find it hard to sleep during the day without one. It usually comes off my face and disappears half way through my sleep though.

I do. Even when I sleep for a long time, I get dark circles under my eyes and that helps. I put cucumbers on my eyes too. -_- Not at night though.

Why not, when morning breaks at 5pm it is really useful. I also use it on long flights as well.

Some people work night shifts and sleep during the daylight hours so an eye mask can be helpful.

I personally don't use them, though.

I used to be fine sleeping when I lived with my mom, but not anymore. My room was a dark, cool, chamber of solitude with no light or noise except that of a fan. It was beautiful. Now, I live with my friend and he's loud at random hours of the night (or morning) and I have crappy doors that don't keep light out. So yeah, I sleep with ear plugs and I'm going to buy an eye mask soon.

I sleep with an eye mask. Always thought it was weird till my cousin bought me one as a gag gift...not sure what was so funny about it...but now I prefer to sleep with one on.

I'd never use one. Usually tuck my head under my cover, lay on my belly while using my arms to cover my eyes, or just rest my hand on my face as if I'm facepalming if lights were a problem....
