Eminem is mainstream, but he is really good, prefferable his older stuff, the eminem show, MMLP. Give him a look.

The main underground people your gonna hear are Tech N9ne and immortal technique, who are both really good.

I was just listening to this guy hopsin who is pretty cool.

Try Insane Clown Posse. There is a 50/50 chance you'll like them.

JB is pretty cool. He releases some real mixes. All unfunny jokes aside, get off hip hop, it's terrible. Try Radiohead.

I dip my toes in hip hop every now and then. Try these:

Das Racist - free stream and free download

Orko Eloheim - free stream

You don't like mainstream stuff, only underground? But artists like Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, gillie da kid, and Young Jeezy are all mainstream artists.

Methinks you don't like mainstream stuff because you don't want to listen to what other people listen to. Those are all mainstream artists.

Try listening to The Chronic 2001 by Dr. Dre. It's pretty much the only rap I listen to so I can't give much of a response.

Yeah it sounds to me like he thinks mainstream music is beneath him, I was the same way a few years ago.

I mean when it comes to Wiz Khalifa his "mainstream" stuff (Kush & Oj, Black & Yellow) has been the best material of his career.

Contradiction or not, you can't tell people what to like. I'm always interested to find out about lesser known artists. Mainstream stuff is simply much easier to come by.

You should try GLC (love, life and loyalty)and the new PIMP C (R.I,P.) album (The naked soul of sweet jones) two of my favorite picks of 2010.
