Someone close to you is murdered and you know who did it.....

The murderer is someone you know well and you have hard evidence they commited the crime, that will get them convicted.

The "victim" was assaulted sexually before being killed via gunshot.

What do you do? Get onto the cops? Devise an evil revenge plan? Or kill the guy yourself?

I'd get onto the cops pronto, I wouldn't mind going to court and all that if it meant justice. I'd rather see the guy have fun behind bars and in the prison showers for the rest of his life and I wouldn't want another persons blood on my hands either. Even if he commited a terrible crime such as this. I know some people wouldn't agree with this choice, but its what I think is right.

Well you just said I have hard evidence that will get them convicted, so to the cops I go. No need for a revenge plan and my own theme tune here. But if I did have my own revenge theme tune but would be pretty sweet. Maybe they can play it on the court room as they walk him away.

Inform the police and let them and the courts handle it. Taking the law into my own hands would be to no one's benefit.

It depends on which part of my life I'm in. Right now, I'm 24, so I have too much to live for. So I would call the police.

But if I was in my 50s, I would kill the guy for the thrill.

Its one of those situations that you need to be in to actually know what you would do.

The truth is that just out of pure emotion a lot of people would take matters into their own hands, despite what they "should" do.

Its really easy to say you would get the cops involved. But if we always thought logically in every situation then the world wouldn't be the way it is.

The only thing that would make me get revenge is that I know if he got the death penalty I would be on social security and he would still be on death row. If I got revenge I'd pay for it and nothing good would come from it. I'd just report it.

I can tell you now, if I could have killed my aunts husband after he shot her, I would have... I would have beaten him to death, nice and slow...
