Yeah, I cleaned that part of my 360 controller with a dull safety pin a little while ago. Ewwww! :x

Grab one of your controllers, (most likely an xbox 360 controller or a PS2/3). Find something really skinny (piece of metal should do) but not sharp that'll fit in a crack about 1mm thick. Now run the metal piece along the crack around the left and right sides of the controller where the top and bottom piece are held together. Yea... it's kind of sick if you do it right. What you're probably seeing is probably a bunch of dead skin and dirt if you don't wash your hands regularly!JunkTrapWait, a minute...
