Lately when I've been texting or typing online I've been getting this feeling that the words I'm using are made up and people won't understand when I'm talking about. Earlier today I had to look up the word "Surprised" in an online dictionary to make sure I didn't make it up. Anyone else ever get that feeling?

Yes but only when I use English slang like "chuffed" and everyone's like "lolwut?"

Yes actually I do, like just yesterday I couldn't for the life of me think whether or not the word caught was actually the correct term or have any idea on how to spell it, I actually think I may have memory problems :?

For me it doesn't feel like memory problems, more of a strange kind of OCD. And it always happens with really common words like that.

I get that sometimes, too...I equate it with brief mental hiccups where I try and put juice back in the cupboard or cereal in the fridge. 'Milk' seems to be a word that I have to look at sometimes and convince myself that it's right. Sometimes it looks weird, as if it's spelled incorrectly or - as you said - made up.

Yeah, that's exactly how it feels. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, just a weird lapse in thinking.
