Do you know of some kind of a very tasty small meal that can get me through times when I am not eating a major meal?

TO EVERYONE: TC is asking about quick meals to eat when they can't plan a major meal, something quick to get them by in a pinch, I often have this worry if I need to leave the house unexpectedly in the morning (happens a bunch), or there's no time to get a proper meal so you have to make do with a quick bite

peanut butter on an english muffin

sucking on thinly sliced pepperoni and maybe some olives (I love garlic stuffed and whole green olives), good source of fats and oils

pita chips an hummus with a dash of habanero Tabasco to spice it up

carrots and celery, sometimes with a bit of ranch or peanut butter

various fruits, slice an apple up, bananas, mandarin oranges are tasty

toasted cheese... not major, but requires a little prep

oven bake a pizza or a couple burritos (way better than microwaving )

cooking some eggs and sausages doesn't take much time, if one has access to something like pre-cooked chicken sausages, you can just nuke that in a microwave while you cook your eggs to save time

mac n cheese doesn't take much time, about 8 or 9 minutes to boil noodles, drain water, mix cheese sauce pack, done

bowl of cereal

instant noodles

Cereal Bars also works when you can't enjoy a big ass dinner. Those Bars will just fill you up when there's nothing big to eat.

Instant noodles never fails to deliver, and peanuts are a cheap, nutritious snack that keep you going until it's time to sit for dinner.

Do you mean like a light on calories meal or something you can just make with only a few ingredients regardless of calories?

I am disappointed in you sir. How can you not like those strips of SMG goodness? In recent years, I progressively cleaned my diet, pruning it of most harmful foods and eating habits, but the one food that seems impossible to remove is instant noodles; I just love that shit.

I don't know what it is, but noodles hit my stomach then my stomach hits me.

I can eat all kinds of spicy foods, I eat peppers like candy, but noodles...noodles will end me.

I think it's the combination of excessive salt and heat that makes it unforgiving on one's stomach. Back in the days when I was addicted to it, I often got the runs after a noodles meal; so I feel you. However, that's no longer the case; I have no idea why.

I have always cereal bars in the house for situations like these.

Otherwise a peanutbutter sandwich or 2 is a great quick 'meal' that gives you some energy for a good while.

My sister once made me a sandwich when there was little in the way of ingredients for an actual mean... She cut up a banana, made a peanut butter and banana sandwich, then fried the thing on a pan with butter... I looked on in horror but damn the thing was tasty.

I was with her until she decided to fry it. Banana and peanut butter sandwiches are mighty tasty as they are; no need to fry it and ruin its heartiness.

Yup, she admits she doesn't fry them usually. I think she just wanted to shock me with 50ml of cholesterol straight to my veins.
