Sooo... I guess Biden tested positive.

This isn't good. I tried embedding a few news clips and wasn't successful.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on Biden's health and the political changes that may be about to occur, because of it?

It should be a far weaker strain now, right?

That's true. Trump survived Covid as well.

Exactly. So I am not to worried about it. It could however (or be used as an excuse) be a way out of being the next democratic president candidate for Biden.

I hope he is feeling fine and recovering quickly.

He's vaccinated so he should probably be fine despite his age.

The most interesting discussion point about this is how it ties to people wanting him to not run again. Biden said he will only step down if he was diagnosed with a medical condition by doctors, and yet a few hours later, he tested positive for COVID.

He already had the vaccine and booster. At worst, it'll feel like a mid-tier sinus infection. My wife and son both got it, and it wasn't that bad. Didn't know it was covid until they did the test. Biden should be fine.

Biden is, technically speaking, one of the most powerful people in the world. He will be fine*. Also he is vaccinated and boostered, as we all should be.

*of course, there is only so much modern medicine can do. But my 80-year old dad survived COVID, so yeah...not really expecting Biden to collapse either.

Yeah the timing is pretty nuts in that context.

When I first read about this, I didn't really think Biden was going to die from it. But I certainly thought that if there was ever a time for other Democrats to pounce, it was when the geriatric POTUS gets COVID.

Biden made a good choice, standing down.
