Soulja Boy=death of rap

One big proof of this true fact is this video:

And I know that isn't the only song that Soulja Boy has done, but seriously, why did he have to try and get attention from the world public by doing this one song and encouraging everybody to do the same dance moves he does? All I can say is, WTF...I used to like rap quite a bit until the very moment he burst into the scene, and from that point on, all of my respect for today's rap has been lost. And I can't understand at all why he and this one song became extremely popular, it isn't even rap for crying out loud!

I'll continue to listen to some good rap from my favorite rap artists T.I. and The Game, but Soulja Boy makes me do the following move:

-First facepalm, gasp a huge breath of air, faint, and fall to the ground...

So yeah, that pretty much sums up my opinion of the Soulja Boy. Anybody with me here? Agreed or not?

Eh, I've always been more into metal than rap in the first place anyways, so it doesn't really matter who my favorite rappers are anyways. But if I have a favorite rapper(s), that means there's a few songs from them that I like, but there will always be disgusting, 0% appealing songs from them at the same time. You know how the whole rap system works, right?

Soulja boy is just snap music. Rap is too high of a genre for hmKikouken

Agreed. Complete crap. I miss rap performers like KRS 1, or De La Soul or Tribe Called Quest.

I agree, Emimem was, and to a certain degree still is, a good rapper. He is capable of rhyming multiple words, instead of using the same word at the end of each line just to make it rhyme. And also, is able to make catchy or somewhat interesting lyrics.
