i have been watching the show for quite some time and it is starting to get really dull i mean i will laugh at it here and there but aside from that it is not really that funny. it is just one poop joke after another. i personally think that family guy is much better because it is more then just poop jokes. anyone else agree with me.
South Park is at such a higher level then Family Guy. They did the cartoon wars episodes, but I knew how weak Family Guy's formula was waaaay before that. I dont think Family Guy's writers know how to write an original, cohesive story. South Park puts out solid material with excellent plot lines and awesome jokes.
I always find South Park drop dead hilarious through almost every episode. It just has this careless originality with its jokes that's just totally unmatched. It's randomness with any mundane thing being joked about makes it one you just kind of keep coming back to. Family Guy on the other hand is similar in a lot of ways with its jokes style, but is trying too hard these days and the jokes aren't as good as they used to be.

QFT. I'm the same. The first season or 2 of Family Guy were great. But it went downhill from their. Too many flashbacks and toilet humour. It is somewhat trying be like South Park along some lines, but it doesnt work. I havent watched a Family Guy episode that made me lol big time in a long time, like when it first started. I'm still lol'ing at stuff from South Park from 2 years ago. Family Guy is way overrated. So is South Park when you look at it, but not as much.

Neither of them are very good anymore. At their start, both shows were great, but South Park got less funny when it entered the 2000s, and Family Guy just sucked after Season 3. Now I only laugh like once every three episodes at Family Guy, so its not worth watching anymore. South Park is still alright, though.
South Park is still consistently hilarious. Family Guy makes me chuckle now and again. Both are enjoyable, but South Park gets the edge. Family Guy is something that I'll watch if it happens to be on when I'm flipping through the channels. South Park is one of the few shows that I actually plan on watching.
I think South Park is funnier. And now I get annoyed at Family Guy since every single joke they go to a different scene just for the joke. And some things just go on way too long and it gets stupid.
Everything goes downhill, I was thinking the same thing last night watching Southpark. It seemed like a really bad episode, but the earlier seasons are great.
I never really got into South park. I've seen a few of it's episodes and they were good, but I still never became a big fan of it. I did get into Family Guy, and it was awesome, and yes, it has definetely gone downhill. Family guy is still alright, but nowhere near what it used to be.
I can still enjoy new South Park episodes since I feel like SP is maturing every season. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Family Guy after season 3. So I am going with SP as being funny.

South Park has definitely gone downhill. I never really watched Family Guy, though. If you watch episodes of SP from the early seasons It's REALLY funny, though. The new season I've thought was just stupid so far.
I haven't seen enough South Park to make a proper judgment. But if I was going to base the series on the bits I've seen, I'd say it's one of the most over rated thing's I've ever seen. Haven't laughed at it once. (but like I said, haven't seen much.)
South Park by far, Although some southpark episodes are just based upon extreme and crude stupidity, there are some classic episodes that prove to be hilarious and provide some moral values toward the ending. I'm not saying family guy is horrible, but I fail to see the humor in just flat out stupid jokes or run-on jokes. I would also agree that both shows were better in their primes.
South Park is just as good, if not BETTER than it used to be. Are you people that don't find it funny just not getting the jokes?? I mean I saw someone post that it might be funny if "you're a 5 year old", which to me is indicitave of his lack of understanding the jokes.
Family guy is funny, but the stories arent nearly as strong as on South Park. Most of the episodes are a weak storyline loosely held together with a series of random "remember when"s. Don't get me wrong, it's funny, but it isn't as good as South Park.

ROFL. If you look very closely at the jokes in family guy, you'll see that they are all interchangeable and rarely (if ever) derive from the plot... and i think that's totally gay.
