I dont get why people in the south (not all of them, but many nonetheless)are so supportive of a doctrine of defiance, opression, and racism.
I mean, waving that confederate flag & all means your supporting a past of slavery (no need to explain why thats bad), defiance of legal elections (south lost presidency to abraham lincoln, even after not putting his name on their ballots, and then seceding after they didnt get who they wanted to win), deep rooted racism, love for a short-lived countrythat was both politically and militarily (is that a word?)a failure, and a whole bunch of other stuff that makes many americans see the south as a bunch of general "rednecks"
i mean, why do it? is there really something from that you can draw pride from? (that the rest of society would understand)
i mean, i dont hate southern people (love'em in fact) but thats tupid confederate flag, white priveledge stuff really gets me wondering how we still let those kinds of people exist >_>
