If I had about 500k-1mil in the bank, I'd do this in a heartbeat. Don't think I'd blow all my life savings on it, though. Maybe once I'm old, sell off the house and go on a space tour.

Totally agree. Heck, if I only had 300k I'd probably still do it.

Even if I had the money to afford, I'd wait till they actually tested it in space..

Besides being expensive, going on the first trip is a horrible idea. So many things could go wrong.

I'll do it in 20 years or so when the price gets reduced. That's just too much for any regular person to afford =/.

So let's see...$200,000 for what probably amounts to a few hours max in low orbit around the earth while having to stay strapped down in a seat inside unproven technology that could very well go disasterously wrong :|

WHERE DO I SIGN UP?! :D

You don't have to stay strapped down. And if you're too chicken, you don't have to go ;)

nonono, your quote should have been... "The universe regresses infinitely towards smaller and smaller components. Behind atoms, we find electrons, and behind electrons, quarks. Each layer unraveled reveals new secrets, but also new mysteries." By the way in case you're wondering, I didn't need to look that up.

I've always wanted to go to space. And the price for this trip should drop quite alot over the next 15-20 years. I'm 21 now, so I expect to full fill my dream of going to space by the time I'm 40. Even if I dont by the time I'm 40, I think it will over the next 80 years. For saying that people are now living to be 90 and still healthy, then I should live to be over 100.

It's actually just 5 minutes. Even if I had the money, I would never spend 200K for 5 minutes.
