On the forums, do you often judge the intellectual capacity of a person by their spelling, grammar, and rhetoric?

So long as it's legible I don't have a problem. They don't have to use colorful metaphors, but it'd be nice to do without run on sentences.
Depends. Online spelling is less important than grammar. Even with bad spelling, as long as the grammar is fine, we can make out what the person is trying to say. On the flip-side, even if the spelling is immaculate, if your grammar sucks, its hard to make out what a person is saying. There are a few spelling errors that people make that really shouldn't even be made by people 13+. I'm talking about when someone assassinates, butchers, then molests the English language.
I don't expect perfection from people, but people not using the correct form of a word is a bit annoying. It's not that difficult to use "there," "they're," and "their" correctly. My biggest gripe is run-on sentences, though; no punctuation in a sentence is just killer on my brain.
I cannot tolerate bad grammar whatsoever, and I absolutely question their intelligence when they fail to follow the basic rules of the english language.

Dear god, that is quite embarrassing.
Nope. I usually think that they're just not fluent or are too lazybones to check their spelling and/or grammar.
I always double check mine before posting though.
iz guess as long as teh peron make try to use grammar good and not jus tipe sloppy tey can maek mistakes sumtime no1s purfect.
Translation: As long as they're making an attempt at good grammar and spelling I'm fine. I don't mind occasional mistakes, but when they make no attempt to spell right, punctuate correctly, or even be coherent then I start to take issue with it.
