I think the question ought to be who is more relevant. For that I gotta go with Spider-Man. Superman is okay, but he one of those characters that you kinda outgrow. As cool as onipotent powers are, it gets boring after awhile.

He's not like that now. People you must see past the pre-crisis Superman and view the great Superman that lies in the now, in the post-crisis. Thats the Superman most people like.

Although in all fairness a guy did shoot Clark Kent with a Kryptonite Bullet in Smallville. Which Clark tried to block with his hands but the bullet went through then got stuck in his shoulder...

Just reminds you of how good other Heroes are when people compare Heroes of Spider-Mans stature to that of Supermans... I'm sure somewhere along the lines someone compared him to Batman and you started thinking about how easy it would be for Batman to whip Spider-Man and then you started remembering how great you think he is and you got back into the swing of things again.

If we were to eliminate the possibility that spiderman will have kryptonite with him, then Superman is by far more powerful, but Spiderman is the better hero.
