Baseball, hitting a ball is much harder then people think. Hitting a ball well is a whole different story.

Ice Hockey. Many people don't know how hard it is because they haven't given the sport a chance and/or haven't laced up a pair of skates.

i definatly agree. i play for my high school and it is not only painful but you have to shoot, pass and do all this stuff on skates, but it is fun.

I've played everything. Baseball and Hockey take a lot more preparation and are much more difficult to become good at.

Running, there is no luck involved all skill.

I am not saying it takes all the training that most other sports do but the you do have nearly the chance of beating someone better than you compared to other sports.

Hmm. Don't know.

Hockey-Physically Tough, and taking hits from grown men can be lethal.

Golf-Mentally Tough, cause you must perservere through the tough times, and must hti accurate shots/putts.

Tennis-Mentally tough again with no partner there to cheer you on (except for doubles, but only the crappy ppl do doubles)

Baseball-Tryiing to hit a 90/100 MPH Fastball is just hard.

I would say baseball.

a .300 out of 1.000 is being a good hitter, that means that good hitters faile 70% of the time.

90-100 mph fastball,70-85 curveball, slider ect... thats like a half a second to think what pitch its going to be,where it going to be, and to align your bat to hit it.

I own at street hockey...But if I ever tried to lace up a pair of skates and go on the ive, I'd get tanked, no question...

Street and ice hockey are on two completely different levels.

Football (or "soccer" for the less enlightened) I would say requires the most skill, though hockey does seem up there too. With footy, it's all about control with your feet, and, needless to say, it's much easier to be in control with your arms than it is with your feet.

Baseball because, whilebeing fit helps, I've seen people play at the top high school level on skill alone. Timing and reading the pitch takes alot of skill.

I think soccer, tennis, and boxing require the most skill. I don't add baseball b/c it is only the act of batting that takes skill, while fielding takes much lower skill; so I am looking at the sport on balance. Basketball is not about skill but about pure athletic ability; you can be a retard and still be a good b-ball player if you are fast/quick from a standstill and can dribble, and a chimp can dribble, so I don't think there is much skill involved.

You beat me to it. Not many people can skate very well let alone stick handle and manage being decked, etc.

...no. Fielding isnt as tough as batting, but it's still very difficult. Commanding an outfield and/or playing SS and 3B? Not easy.

Skill? Though it likely won't be a popular choice, think about curling. Most of the sports people are listing here are more about athleticism than pure skill.

It's gotta be ice hockey. It's hard enough to skate as fast as they do, making cuts and whatnot without falling down -- and it's much more difficult to handle a puck (especially on ice) than it is to handle something like a basketball or soccer ball. Also, there's an awful lot of skill involved in handling the stick. And while you're trying to do all of this, you know in the back of your mind that you can legally be checked into the wall by someone skating at full-speed.

Golf is not a sport it's a game and flame me all you want for saying that. I do not think baseball is that hard or takes much skill. I play football, basketball, soccer, and baseball. It's hard for me to decide which has the most skill involved because a coordinated athlete can be fairly good at all of them but i bet i would look like a huge dumbass out on the ice so i'm going to go with ice hockey.

Honestly, hockey...Skating and trying to make the puck go in a little net WHILE a guy is guarding it...Think about that...I know they are low scoring games, but that is impressive. But this is coming from a guy that has never even tried ice skating...

Yes golf is hard i just don't think it requires as much skill as hockey. But then again in hockey you have teammates to help you and golf it's just your skill ahh maybe it is golf i just can't stand it :)
