Stalkers on Gamespot?

I don't know any of these people... Why do random users keep adding me as a friend and watching for my reviews and stuff? Is there a way to prevent this?

If I like someones points in a discussion in OT, or their sig shows we have similar interests (Samwel_X a long time ago) I'll track them.  You never know you could make some friends.  I like having friends on here I agree with most all the time (Rekunta), and one's that I don't but respect on many levels (Theo).  Pretty much anyone who tracks me, I'll track them back. btaylor2404

I've tracked about 3 or 4 people on my friend list.
