tried watching star trek one time, to confusing probably an episode right after a cliffhanger or something. but i like star wars better my dad has been forcing me to watch it since i was 3 so yeah i like it

The Star Trek series are good. All the films are terrible except for the Wrath of Khan.

So therefore Star Wars wins.

I like the star wars movies, and many of the games. I tried watching star trek once several years ago, and I fell asleep.

I like both, however I like Star Trek a fair bit more.
By star trek, I mean The Next Generation and Voyager, not the original series...

Star Wars will always be better than Star Trek. Always. Frankly, Star Trek films suck horribly. The show was okay, but Star Wars had a larger effect on the entertainment industry. Star Wars is a modern-age epic trilogy. Every theme is dramatized: love, loss, power, friendship, war, it's all there.

Star Trek has hundreds of episodes among the various series, and the 11th movie is about to be released. BTW, the 1st movie was released after Star Wars IV (the 1st) in 1977, but at least productivity has been better.

As far as the movies go, both SW and ST have had the odd couple of duds, but the hit/miss ratio is well in favour of Gene Roddenberry's creation.

Plus, at least when there is a bar scene in Star Trek, there are usually at least two characters of each alien race encountered present.

Sir Alec Guiness described his dialog/monolog in SWs as the most rediculous load of tripe he has ever been paid to read on the big screen.

Hmm.. well, except the Borg. Even during an alliance they're evil. They get what they want and then destroy their ally. (If they can be persuaded into an alliance in the first place).

   But that aside, I like Star Trek and also StarWars. Its untrue that SW, only uses violence. It shows comrad ship, trust, faith. It doesn't take a super genius to realize that both Star Trek and Star Wars share a lot of things. Really, I'm not lying, they really do @.@
