alright most of us here know that Lucas Films is releasing a spin off to the star wars movies entitled the Clone Wars. based off of what you see as my user icon and sig you can probably tell i am a big Star Wars fan. after watch the preview for this movie and seeing all of the ads on TV i have come to the conclusion that this looks like one of the worst ideas ever. i will most likely still see it but i am not going to be happy. my question to you is are you going to see it and also feel free to post your thoughts on the movie.
I don't think it's a spinoff.. it's just a un-told part of the main story. I'm not a fan of it being animated, but if that's what's required to tell the story, so be it. I'm very interested. :D

it's not even an un-told part of the story. it's a re-telling of the clone wars animated series.
I'm so excited for it. Anyone who says "they should just stop with Star Wars", like with most franchises, I think that's ridiculous. There's no need for a story to end just because some people think there're "too many". Especially when there is still a lot of story to be told, such as in Star Wars. It doesn't affect the other movies, so no harm done! :)

I don't even think it's going to be a cash cow, even for the diehard fans. There's been very little ads or promotion for this, except for the occasional TV commercial. You'd think Lucasfilm would be cranking the hype machine for this full blast.
