lord of the rings is DECENT at best.

Star Wars is awesome. Theres no LOTR movie that compares to Empire.

Star wars feels patched togeather, shallow at times, too many unanswered questions.

LOTR FTW.

Though I love both I am going to have to say LOTR because it is the most epic fantasy ever and has such lovable characters and such a profound history.

I like the Star Wars movies better than the LoTR movies. but when it comes to everything else LOTR wins IMO.

I'm not sure, I'd have to rewatch both trilogies. On a side note;

Neither so much, but the lesser of two evils in this case is Star Wars. At least that can genuinely hold my attention for a good amount of time (the originals and some of the games). LotR literally put me to sleep.

I don't like either all that much but I guess I'll go with Lord of The Rings.

The original Star Wars triology was great.. The new Star Wars triology took a nose dive and burned.. With only a few memorable scenes, it clearly seemed to me it was targeted towards very young children.. The new CGI movie and cartoons are proof of this.. I recently saw the cartoon for the first time and its dialogue was awful.. Childish at best.. This isn't to say I am expecting something philosophically deep, but maybe it should have some dialogue depth that goes further then the understanding of a 6 year old..

LOTR's is pretty good.. I loved the first one, second one was good.. Third one I just got bored as hell.. Watching hundreds of thousands crash against one another again, I just don't care.. It took the cake when the horses just "plowed" into apparently a army of thousand deep guys with out slowing.. And there were some cringing dialogue/scene parts.. Like where the woman says "I am no man" and screams like a moron which apparently you need to do to stab with a sword.

No matter how much I love Star Wars, Lord of the Rings is the obvious answer.
