Once in a while I'll get a craving for caffeine blended with motor oil, and I'll wander over to Starbucks and get a plain dark roast. I've got one on my desk right now.
I'm not a fan of their flavoured coffees and there are many better selections in my area for baked goods. Starbucks' scones and muffins and stuff are awful.
Seriously I have a coffee maker at home and it tastes better than Starbucks. Starbuck is overpriced. I see no difference between it and other cheap coffees.
Starbucks recently closed their stores to retrain their employees, because the quality of their drinks has been slipping. If I was in the suburbs and wanted coffee, I might go there because they're ubiquitous. But here in the city, there are far better choices.
If by awesome you mean marginally better coffea than i can get at a gas station for approx 700% of the price.

$0.25 cups at AM-PM from 5am to 9am every morning in the atlanta area.
Quicktrip had 50 cent cups for like 2 years until they added all the fruity frapawhatever flavored crap which drove the price of regular joe up by like 300% just by association.
In-case people didnt know, most locations dont even require trained barristers. You'll have some dolt who cant even make koolaid in there mixing your $8 flavored coffea.
Hey all! Starbucks is AMAZING! I don't care what any of you think! you all have horrid taste if you think 7-11 had better coffee! and yes,i said HAD, because in about 10 secs the 7-11 building your about to go into will detonate!!!!! MWHAHAHA!
And my personal favorite is White Chocolate Mocha w/whip cream! So everyone who thinks Starbucks is awful needs to go to a mental facility and register yourself. :D

I dunno...their coffee always tastes off to me. They burn their beans.
And actually, on the subject of 7-11 coffee...well, that's pretty asstastic too. But some of the other convenience stores around here (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) actually do use a top-grade roast for their coffee, and will certainly do in a pinch.
Myself, I tend to prefer Second Cup, or Bear Mountain.
