Which do you like better?
So it's this:
V.S. this:
Easily, starwars for me.

Star Wars, I never got into Star Trek but I'll most likely enjoy it later in life...unless you mean the new film.
No, just starwars and startrek in general.Star Wars, I never got into Star Trek but I'll most likely enjoy it later in life...unless you mean the new film.

I prefer Star Trek, I like SW but it's too fantasy-like for me, I know Star Trek isn't completely realistic but at least it tries.
All the people saying Star Trek has better science, the science of both series are equally wrong and implausible.
Star Wars for Darth Vader, Han Solo and the Force!! (and that one moment when I was a kid and first heard "I am your father." That is perhaps the most memorable moment in movie history from my childhood...) The trilogy was just epic.
Only have seen the newest Trek. It was pretty solid. Better than the new Star Wars flicks IMO, but had nothing on the originals.
Come on. They CAN'T be compared. Completely different universes with completely different formats for storytelling. They both have things that are absolutely amazing about them, and they both have aspects that absolutely suck about both of them.

Are you for real? You can absolute compare these two universes. The aspects to compare are so direct that to compare the two is natural. Which is why people have been comparing the two for decades.Come on. They CAN'T be compared. Completely different universes with completely different formats for storytelling. Not really..... Besides the titles I guess and the massive fanbases around both I don't see much similarity between them. Star Wars has the force, Jedi, sword battles, creepy guys in cloaks. Star trek has Enterprise, phasers, transporters, and dorky uniforms. And I can't think of any Star Trek story that is similar to a Star Wars story. So no, you can't really compare them.

Didn't you know that the force was controlled by microbes? Jeez. I would have to say that based on movies of both series.. I would say by far Star Trek.. To me even in the older ones there were some lines or some scenes (especially with the new triology) that made me want to facepalm my self.. Oh no he killed younglings! When i heard that said numerous times, I wanted to strangle my self.. Then episode 2 was full of angsty gumpy Anakin in akward teen romance.. The first one, ironically enough Anakin was the worse part of it.. No it wasn't Jar Jar Binx imo, he was meant to be a goofy character.. It was little Anakin again, half the stuff he said wanted me ot strangle my self (are we seeing a pattern?) as well as some of the scenes.. Especially the part where he accidentally blows up a space ship..I would have to say that based on movies of both series.. I would say by far Star Trek.. Yeah the new trilogy was pretty cringe inducing, especially in any lengthy dialogue sequence involving just about anyone. I think the main problem stemmed from the use of TOO much cgi. I would probably consider it harder to act with out an actual set, or real characters in front of you for that matter. Plus, having Haden as Anakin.....ugghhh.

I think the problem had nothing to do with CGI.. I think the problem was the fact that Lucas was directing and pretty much had everysay when it came to the script.. IN the old ones he had professional script writers that helped immensely on the script.. Notice this is the exact same case for the new Indiana Jones.. Lucas does have a great vision, and idea to the overall background.. But damn did the 3 newer movies sure seem like he couldn't write dialogue or sometimes a coherent plotline worth a damn.[QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"][QUOTE="sSubZerOo"] I would have to say that based on movies of both series.. He's a terrible writer and a relatively mediocre director. I actually like Episodes 1-3, but that's accepting them as they are and not comparing them on the original trilogy's grounds. Both trilogies have flaws and high points that balance each other out, IMHO. They both share bad acting though. :P[QUOTE="Diablo-B"][QUOTE="MystikFollower"]

Yeah, episode two was horrible, but I still like starwars better.
They should have starwars on the Sci-Fi channel. They show star trek way to much! :xI have to say, I was never that into Star Wars. Star Trek though was always on TV it seemed, and every episode kept me completely entertained.

There isn't enough variety. If they did a Star Wars series that would make sense. I'm surprised they haven't actually...

Hell, even Spike shows it sometimes.Trek Wars.KrunkMastaXThat's not what it's called... It's called Star Trek.
EDIT: Oh, you meant you like both of them. Okay, lol.

Star Wars, I never had the chance to like Star Trek and I find the different species very weird. I know I'm a bit hypocritical when you think of Chewbacca, but I find Star Trek very strange, and the enemies are never as cool as Darth Maul.
For me, it's Star Trek, although I don't think the two should really be compared like this as they are very different.
