yep, most are nothing but big government shills.  They think its ok to regulate personal liberty in the same way the left thinks its ok to regulate economic liberty (and there is crossover of course...).  This world is almost nothing but people wanting to use government to enforce their beliefs on others.  Don't like that your neighbor is smoking pot in his basement?  Social conservatives create laws against it and call the police.  Don't like that your neighbor's kid is trying to make a living by starting a hot dog stand?  Economic liberals create laws and shut that criminal down ( http://reason.com/blog/2012/07/26/city-shuts-down-kids-hot-dog-stand-befor ).

And Rick Snyder, Michigan's governor, is everthing but a small government social conservative.  He's just a big government goon.  Doesn't matter how he uses government to force his beliefs on others, he is still doing it.
