So... this all has to be paid back, right? I'm reading into it and finding the statement thrown out here and there that this is just "an advance 2020 tax return". But im not 100% sure on it because all the FAQs i see online dont come out and directly say we will be paying back. I dont know if that is just supposed to be a common sense thing or what... i dont remember the details about the last stimulus checks. But basically, if you typically rely on those returns to pay for things, this is pretty much doing nothing. Asking anyone who knows for sure, is that correct?

I can't really say for sure myself to be honest. I can offer this piece of advice though, there are people and organizations on the web who will say random junk just to make one party, thing or person look bad over another, so unless the FAQs regarding the simultaneous package outright say it, I'd urge you to take anything people say with more than a few grains of salt.

One thing is for certain. 2 trillion on top of our deficit as it was will have to be paid back somehow. We're all going to pay for it in some fashion later on and that often falls onto the working class but there will never be a free lunch.

Not sure about the details, but nothing is free. Especially free money.

No, it's not to be paid back and it does not go against your next tax return.

For the wealthy countries that can afford it, I don't think anyone will have to pay it back.
