Well now that I'm out of school for a break I'm not stressed.

But when I'm in school, I workout. It melts my stress away. I recommend it!

I used to be that way, then I realized your life is only as stress-filled or happy as you want it to be. Just remember everything comes with sacrifice: I sacrificed a 40k a year job I knew I'd hate and took a 14k a year job that I am incredibly happy with. My parents call me stupid, my friends envy me as they are stuck with jobs they hate/quit their jobs cuz they hated them.

With that said, you might want to consider a change in your life. Maybe you are not happy with your job; in that case, get a new one. Think about it: youre spending 8+ hours of every waking day doing something you dislike. If you dont change now, chances are you will continue to do so until you retire.

Maybe its your education. if youre under 18, get over it. You will get a whole boatload of stress once your done with high school that makes your current stress level seem small. if youre in school, hang tough if you only got a year or two left. If you still got 3+ years left, take a quarter/semester off and work a good job like construction or something.

Stress relief is hughly individual. Someone mentioned exercise as a remedy, and that is a great idea. Physical exercise will provide a great deal of "pleasure" in the fact that your brain will release various chemicals that enduce a state of well being and relaxation. Much like the feeling you get after a climax.

There are other less strainious ways of getting rid of stress: this may include taking a bath, doing your favorite activity or hobby and taking prescribtion drugs. Some even find weed as a good way ogf coping with stress. Mostly cus you can't bother to remember what you were stressed about and the fact that THC makes your muscles relax. I recommend altering your lifestyle in different way, not just go for a quick remedy.

Stress affects the body and mind in such a bad way it should be dealt with on a level that allows you to continue with your life/job/activities for a loooooong period of time. The way you decribe your symptons suggest that you are i a bad spiral: stress causing you to loose sleep will make you less capable of dealing with stress thus increasing the amount of stress on your system and lessening your ability to deal with it. Physical fatigue can be a good way to deal with loss of sleep.

I'm not sure, but I can guess that you probably think too much about things also. Letting your mind rest while awake can also relieve you a great deal. What you describe is a complex problem that causes soo much frustation too a huge amount of people all over the world. As I said before; a change in lifestyle; eating habits, workout and occupying yourself with hobbies/personal interests can be a good start.

I hope you can find a way to feel better soon. If you feel the same way in a few weeks you really should seek counceling with a professional and attack the problem from many different angles, don't just get sleeping pills from your doctor and think that will solve things. You need to cure the cause of the stress, not just the symptoms.

I deal with it by pushing it all down deep within. Yes it will lead to an inevitable outburst, but I'm not due for one of those for at least 9 more years.

I'm always stressed. I'm not good at dealing with it either. Sometimes I attempt to by taking long walks, listening to music, taking baths, reading, smoking pot, etc. It really depends on the person, though.... Find some relaxing activities to deal with stress on a day to day basis.

I'm stressed alot, twin babies, 1 income household in this bad economy. A good movie or fun video game tends to take my mind off things.

I lie in a cold, dark room and whistle those catchy little songs I picked up as a child (Auld Land Syne, Greensleeves and others).

dealing with stress is one of the toughest things to learn, isn't it?

lots of good advice in this thread... i definitely agree with exercising to relieve stress. after a particularly stressful day i'll workout until i ache. followed by either video games or music.

a roll in the hay with my gal is also fairly theraputic.

What I do when I'm stressed out about something is get on the treadmill put it on top speed and run till I can't run no more. That way you're too tired to be angry

This may be a lil creepy to most people, but I do this also. It helps me definitely, but OP, I suggest you to begin working out or just run and track record of how much you are improving. I personally do those two above things including masturbation (who the hell doesn't?) and if I get lucky and have a left-over money I go to the shooting range. Overall, you should try to relax your mind first before tackling your issues in life. YOU need to take care of yourself (mind, physique, etc...) so that you can take care of other issues. Good luck, OP.

Idk I've been in some what of a depressed funk as of late (Girl problem, kind of, lol). I just want to start next semester and move on, forget about some of the **** from the last one. But anyway, I find exercise helps, playing some CSS, taking a nap with some relaxing music on, watching a movie or tv show, a warm shower, anything to take my mind of what's worrying me or stressing/depressing me. You just need to find a hobby, I'm picking up a music splicing program tomorrow, start making some remixes.

Thanks a lot guys. Really appreciate the responses. I think looking back is what has caused me some stress, I guess I just got to look forward and let the chips fall as they may. Im trying to change what has already happened, which isnt really possible.

Thanks.

If anyone has anything else, it would be greatly appreciated.
