Stupid questions you've heard.

We've all had that teacher who's said at one point or another, "There are no stupid questions." But let's fact it, there ARE stupid questions. What are some stupid questions you've heard people ask? That's the twist to keep this from becoming a spam-fest: they have to have been asked in a reasonable situation. Here's an example of one I've heard:

How do I revive Aeris?

See? Stupid question.

"Is Bruce Lee Chinese or Asian?" My brother asked that. :|

In a physics class: Why can't we just launch all our garbage out into space instead?

Their are so many stupid questions that my brother has asked. He averages about 5 a day.

EDIT: Freshamn year a kid in my science class asked "Can you sit on a cloud?"

Me: It's a line from Romeo and Juliet.

Cousin: Is that a movie or something?

I think the dumbest I've ever heard was from some girl in class who asked my teacher "Wasn't hurricane Katrina a bomb?" :| No joke, she asked that.

In class, we were doing about sub-atomic particles and talking about oxidation and reduction. Note: OIL = Oxidation Is Losing [an electron]; RIG = Reduction Is Gaining [an electron].

Teacher: "So, is this example OIL or RIG?"
Stupid girl: "If it was oil, wouldn't it float on water?"

Haw; a year or two back I was at a bar wearing a sweatshirt for the band The Business. A guy asked me about it and I said "They're a British punk band." He said, "Oh, where are they from." I looked at him for a second and said incredulously "... Britain?" His friends had a good laugh at that :)xaos

In my history class: When we were discussing World War 2 in History, a girl in my class asked "Why didn't soldiers just block all the bullets with their guns, like they were playing baseball?"LZ71

I have another one: "Can I drive from Calgary to Toronto in less than one day?"

To put that into perspective, it's about the same distance as going from Seattle to Buffalo.
