I think terraforming is converting a planet to behave like earth so it has a good atmosphere like our planet, one way we can do is setup some future machine which can conver iron oxide on planet mars to ozone and so on.
doesn't mars have CO2 in it's atmospere? If thats the case all we have to do is plant some trees and they will create oxygen for the ozone.
I have an incredibly odd desire to live on Mars... I don't know why though (of course in a habitable environment created so that I can survive for longer than a few minutes, or terraforming).
Speaking of terraforming...
I feel jealous that I won't live to see the day we terraform another planet.foxhound_fox
That hennessey aint good for you homie

unless you're in your 70s, you probably will live to see it

Well I am a engineer I don't know much about bio however would the trees be able to survive in just CO2 atmospere without nitrogen and also harmful sun rays because of no Ozone. Maybe they use some kind of machine which converts CO2 into O3 and than once the ozone(O3) is placed I think you might be able to add trees than.

If it were that simple, it would already be done. . . .

unless we bio-engineer trees to survive in extreme conditions, now that would be revolutionary in space exploration. we'll only have to send a probe with a highly self-reproductive plant, that will eventually do the job for us.

Well if you mean making Mars another earth then you might not live to see it. But you still could see us colonize it is what I meant.
