Searched Superman vs. Goku in the Gamespot forum search bar and yielded no results.
In one of the first Dragonball Z series, Raditz visits Earth. He scans the power level of a normal man, which was five. Lets shorten this to PL (Raditz had 1200 PL then at that stage)
Superman speaks his lift at around 100 tons = 100.000kg = 220 462.262 pounds.
An average human (Not a powerlifter, body builder, etc) can lift around 40% of his body weight at a standing position above their head.
An average person weighs 80kg, 40% of 80kg is 32.
100,000kg/32 = 3125, Superman can lift 3125 times more than a normal person, i.e a strength is equal to 3125 men.
Remember now that 1 person has a PL of 5. 5 x 3125 = 15,625. Superman's power level is 15,625 going by that,
This means that by the time Goku had finished his training with King Kai, he could beat Superman. After that time Goku could reach a power level of 16,000 with kaioken x2.
In the episode where the "Over 9000" originated, Goku could reach a power level of 40,000 if he used kaioken x4, though he would only need at least kaioken x2 to defeat Superman.

There's been so many incarnations of Superman that it's hard to define which one would be suitable. So I went with the one that wasn't boringly overpowered, and went with the one that was reasonably overpowered.
Superman is pretty lame though so idgaf =p

Epic win of a post
Both are boring and uncreative, and I bet that God character in the Bible could beat both without trying.
Okay I've been looking around the interwebz and there is far to much information (got a headache) on Superman and his many many forms. So from my original post the fight in that picture I think Goku would win.
But I came across this Superman...
I think um....that's not even a fair fight lol. This Gold Superman could probably kill Goku with his pinky toe.
But then again everytime Goku dies he comes back to life.
So this fight would last for infinity and all minds are melted and all earths shattered.
I'm confused and butt hurt...

Yeah DC couldn't make up their mind about Superman at all. One comic he can lift 200 quintilitonnes and the next he's under threat from a mere skyscraper falling on top of him.
Nice calcs. I'll sum it up for you. Goku can blow up planets and possibly galaxies, superman dies from juwelry. In one of the first Dragonball Z series, Raditz visits Earth. He scans the power level of a normal man, which was five. Lets shorten this to PL (Raditz had 1200 PL then at that stage)

This is what I was getting at. This superman absorbed a star?BranKetraYes from what I read Superman laid dormant inside of the sun for 15,000 years absorbing its energy and growing unmeasurable powerful. Seriously lol...and you thought Goku powering up for 3 full episodes was bad!

Goku's Genki Dama from everyone on earth was enough to beat Kid Buu. I don't know if that even rivals the sun's energy.

Since when was Superman Immortal? Although at the rate that Goku increases his power level, he could surely rival that tbh given he could live that long, though he never could of course.
Once every 3 weeks. And anime fans will always say that goku wins and comic (DC) book fans will always say Sup's the man. Some facts here: Genki dama would not hurt superman. It only hurts bad people. DEAL WITH IT Goku SSJ4 lasts little time and wears him off Quickly. however he is super powerful that way. DEAL WITH IT. Superman was killed by doomsday, and doomsday doesnt look like much of a big threat. Goku could Kamehameha his sorry a**. Logic would say goku wins. Superman can resist the heat of the sun, Goku cant. Logic would say that Superman has the upper hand in resistance. Goku is a trained martial artist. He TRAINED TO FIGHT for all of his life. Superman didnt. Superman is theorically able to punch so hard that can break reality. Goku can do it just by screaming. Superman has a bigger stamina than Goku. Deal with it. Goku's long range attacks (kamehames and energy blasts) are SUPERIOR in any way than Superman's long range attacks. Deal with it. Goku can use transportation and sense enemies. Upper hand for goku. Superman can be in space with no problems whatsoever. Superman has the upper hand. Superman is practically immortal. DEAL WITH IT. Facts end here Still I'd go for Goku.how often does this thread have to be made?

Superman is faster than a speeding bullet. Goku is faster than light (a lot faster).
I'm going with the old argument of Goku using instant transmission to go get some kryptonite and come back in a heartbeat and kill superman with it.
I honestly don't know of any legit arguments where Superman beats Goku.

Dunno. I don't think this fight would imply the end of the earth. Goku has fought in SSJ4 in fusion (tons more powerful than normal SSJ4) and nothing happened. NOT A FACTGoku, even though I was never allowed to watch Dragon Ball Z I think Super Man is a loser so Goku has to win.
nah. 100 tons is nothing. superman can lift way more than that he lifts asteroids and ish. your argument is invalid. In one of the first Dragonball Z series, Raditz visits Earth. He scans the power level of a normal man, which was five. Lets shorten this to PL (Raditz had 1200 PL then at that stage)

That would give Superman a power level of slightly over 17 million. Goku was 9 million against his battle with Majin Vegeta during the Buu saga (he was SSJ2 at this point). We can safely say that SSJ3 Goku would mop up the floor with Superman. This says he can lift 1,000,000 tons though. lol

It's not exactly invalid, giving the fact that Superman over the ages has varied in strength and power. You should know this if you profess to know anything about Superman =P

But anyway a normal human being > Superman, because all he needs to do is throw out some kryptonite and Superman is done lol.
