Does it really matter? How often do you drift while driving on the streets?

Watch the shows where they broadcast drift races. Vipers are pretty good for it...

Vipers arent exactly cheap :P anyways the Supra is not the best drifting car out there the Nissan Silvia (240sx) and the Toyota Corolla from 1986 are the best,Im getting a 240sx soon :)

I had an 86 gts. It was a fun car to drive, five speed manual. We used to go to open parking lots and run them a few times.

I wouldn't mind having a 240sx.

And I don't think one or two single cars are the best. It depends on the driver. It sounds cliche, but if you have the skills, you can drive any car.

No. There are few Supra drift cars, and the few that are modified for drifting have gone threw pretty heavy modification. It is RWD so it is possible to drift in it, but its kinda heavy for drifting. Honesty if you want to get into drifting I'd recomend pretty much what everyone else uses, either a 240sx or a corolla AE86.

The 240sx is your best option though interms of aftermarket support and just support in general in the USA(I was gonna get a 240sx but the drift scene is just to much right now and I don't have the money for it so I got an integra gs-r). There are plenty of people out there who can help you get on the right track if you have a 240sx due to its popularity. The more important things for your car set up are gonna be in the suspension. Also you will NEED a limited slip differential if your car doesn't have one and it will need to be properly set up. Also, stock up money for tires, or get used tires with tread left at your junkyard because drifting is expensive (pros go threw new tires in about 15-20min).

Please never watch Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, that movie is trash. Also to break a growing myth right here due inpart to the growing drift scene and the Manga/Anime Initial D. Drifting is a slower way around a racecourse than grip driving. So if your looking to be the fastest guy at the track, forget drifting. If you like the showmanship and immense control of drifting then go for it.

Don't get you're drift facts from TFATF tokyo drift

Anyways, any RWD car will be good for drifting, but you won't be able to afford a supra after 1991 maybe an 88.....

Don't drift on the streets though, a kid just totaled his 12k 300zx that he had only owned for a week, true story.

Ask Nick Hogan. That's what he was driving when he f'ed himself up thinking he was a drift racer.
