It's about time. Swiffer (known for their innovative cleaning products) are finally releasing an HD product line. Swiffer Gets Your Home HD Clean "Swiffer is going beyond traditional methods to deliver a clean so extraordinary that the definition of clean as we know it has been elevated to the idea of 'High Definition,'" said Jeff Pierce, Home Care External Relations Manager at P&G. "Consumers will be pleasantly surprised when they use our products and discover the new level of shine and clarity we're providing." What do you think, OT? Will you be upgrading? I personally believe it's better now than never. It's 2011, and I've still been cleaning my house with standard-def technology.

Nice marketing gimmick by P&G, I'm sure sales will boost because who doesn't want an HD clean floor?! I'll be sticking to my steam mop, less waste and a better clean. :)KlownMaster
Sure, it may be more energy efficient, but what aspect ratios do your steam mop support?

[QUOTE="KlownMaster"] You don't happen to work for P&G do you? Seems very strange that you'd post a media release....

Nope - I just thought that my fellow OT'ers and home-cleaning enthusiasts would be interested in getting that high-definition sparkle to your countertops that we've dreamt about our whole lives.

This HD mania has gotten too far. "Insert video game title here" HD, HD cigarettes... and now HD cleaning products? :?

It's cooled off quite a bit ever since 3d started up again.

I believe that the govt is offering a coupon to buy the converter box that you will need in order to keep using your existing cleaning products. I'll try to find a link.

The folks at Swiffer are smart people. I'm sure that they're working on 3D cleaning products. And if not, their competitors will, surely.

I actually believe that you may require HD glasses in order to fully take advantage of the HD cleaning results that Swiffer provides.

Reminds me of when I heard about the GMC Sierra HD. Nice marketing gimmick, because I'm sure a lot of idiots will fall for this.

If you want a deep clean, soak all surfaces in your home with gasoline and light a match. But seriously swiffer isn't really that good for cleaning. I have a wetjet and those stupid handheld duster things and neither are spectacular to the point where I'd go out of my way to buy them again. I just refill my wetjet (yes you can do that) with watered down cleaning solution anyway, it's not ever going to be worth 8 bucks a bottle for essentially the same thing. I'll be getting one of those vileda bee mops when this one kicks the bucket, cleaning with water and a reusable pad sounds much better to me.

I'm surprised that it's taking businesses this long to catch on to the fact that some people will buy whatever product that has HD slapped at the end of it. HDTV, HD Radio, now HD cleaning products.

Wow.

The electronics I can understand, but cleaning supplies?! It's just an excuse to charge more money for the same damn thing people bought a few months earlier. Anyone who actually buys this product line deserves to be smacked upside the head repeatedly.

 Yes, I am. I probably shouldn't post as soon as I wake up, get off on tirades about things. Point being, Swiffer kind of sucks. Now they'll just suck in HD.
